Go Green and Get Lean

Dani is the founder of Green Team Spirit, which helps businesses, governments and non-profits “go green” using an interdisciplinary team approach that includes management, staff and stakeholders.

The Green Team Spirit program creates the foundation for culture change within an organization where leadership commitment, a dedicated green team and full staff engagement are the key components to a sustainable enterprise. Her unique program guides organizations through step-by-step training modules that address energy, waste, water, transportation, green purchasing, green building and communications.

With 30 years of experience in marketing, communications, technology, advocacy, non-profit development and research, Dani combines her wealth of business experience with her passion for the environment and a healthier, more sustainable world. As a member of the Westchester County Global Warming Task Force, she served on the Business Sector committee researching various models for green business network development. Her advocacy of a “green team” approach to address economic, environmental and social issues at the organizational level is a direct result of this work.

Dani is one of the creators and administrators of the Westchester Green Business Challenge, a partnership of Westchester County Government and the Business Council of Westchester focused on helping all Westchester County businesses “go green”. She consults with the Town of Cortlandt and the villages of Dobbs Ferry and Hastings-on-Hudson, NY on their sustainability efforts and green team programs. Dani is the co-organizer of Green Drinks Westchester, a networking group for those who care about the environment in Westchester County and beyond.

Dani and her husband Jonathan, both University of Wisconsin-Madison graduates, reside in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Their son James, 23, (also a UW graduate) is the general manager of Blue Honey Biofuels in Madison Wisconsin and Corey, 21, is studying architecture at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign.
